Staff Association organisers are currently visiting regional work sites, including some of CSIRO’s more remote laboratories.
There are site visits occurring this week throughout country New South Wales, Far North Queensland, the Top End and Red Centre.
Staff Association Secretary Sam Popovski and Organiser Leanne Roche have visited Darwin, Alice Springs and Atherton already this week – with Cairns and Townsville scheduled for Thursday and Friday respectively.
Meanwhile Lead Organiser Paul Girdler has teamed up with Jeff Carig for a regional New South Wales road trip. Following visits to Armidale, Culgoora and Myall Vale, Paul and Jeff will drop in on AAO members at Coonabarabran on Thursday before ending the week at ‘The Dish’ in Parkes.
In addition to fielding questions regarding the Matrix review and Pearce inquiry, Staff Association organisers have been encouraging members to get ready for bargaining, as the union’s campaign for a new Enterprise Agreement kicks off.
