This week marks the opening of the 44th Federal Parliament. Parliamentarians – and a new Government – will begin to grapple with the big issues, including the future of CSIRO and Australian science.

The Staff Association has written to the Government, Opposition, minor parties and key independents voicing our concern at these latest cuts.

Correspondence was also sent to the Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten MP, Green’s Science spokesperson Adam Bandt MP, Palmer United Party leader Clive Palmer MP as well as Lower House independents Andrew Wilkie MP, Cathy McGowan AO, MP and Bob Katter MP.
